Our Reshapers Community Trainer (PTLLS) course is for both experienced and new trainers working in the community sector. We aim to equip you to be an inspiring and competent trainer/teacher with a recognised qualificaton.

What is PTLLS?

PTLLS is short for Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. It is accredited by the National Open College network (NOCN) and is nationally recognised on the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF).

Why do I need PTLLS?

PTLLS is the nationally recognised threshold qualification required to teach in FE colleges and funded adult learning and workplace training.

How does the course work?

Our blended learning approach is designed to make it easy to complete your learning around your other work and personal commitments. There are two group training days, on-line learning, a personal tutor and a vibrant learning community.

What will I learn?

The course covers six key themes including the trainer role, inclusive learning, session-planning, teaching practice and assessment.
